Web 2.0 Marketing Tip #36: Tumblr vs. the World
By Ralf Skirr.
Tumblr has become a popular blogging platform not only because of its very user-friendly interface. There are a lot more to Tumblr that you can surely take advantage of for developing your business.
For one, Tumblr easily integrates with your Twitter and Facebook account. There is no doubt that websites today, regardless if they are regular sites, blogs, or social networks, are focused on creating a sort of unity. This is a way for users to easily share information with family and friends.
Aside from that, once you create an account, you will surely find that Tumblr is one of simplest blogging platforms you can find today. You might think that WordPress stands out for its simplicity, but once you try Tumblr, you will discover that it offers a more basic user interface that allows you to choose between functions such as “text” and “pictures.”
This can be very important if you want to use Tumblr quickly and move on. The downside, though, is that it does not allow complex customization like WordPress does.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for a publishing platform that is easy to use, easy to market with, and easy on the eyes, then Tumblr is one you can’t miss to use.
