By Ralf Skirr.
Google Plus. Are you familiar with it? It is a social networking and messaging system integrated in Gmail, and it is now one of the things you should not forget if you want to use Web 2.0 to your advantage.
Google Plus is a continuously rising network that will allow you to easily interact with your customers, business partners, and family. It is a strong rival to Facebook and provides innovative takes in features such as friend and post segmentation.
As of this writing, Google Plus is still in beta phase. Nevertheless, new features are being added and adjustments are being made based on feedbacks gathered. Some current notable features of Google Plus that you can take advantage of are the following:
- Circles- this feature guarantees that specific things you post are shown only to a certain group. For example, family matters are shown only to your family circle, and so on.
- Hangouts- regardless if you are starting a mini-conference with friends or business associates, this video chat system will be of help.
- Games API- a lot of marketers like us doesn't really appreciate getting bombarded by game updates. This nifty tab helps us get rid or, at least, effectively and easily ignore them.
