Web 2.0 Marketing Tip #65: Web 2.0 Cross-Promotion

By Ralf Skirr.

It is great to promote your website and gain traffic from Facebook. The same goes for Twitter as well as Digg. However, if you have, say, Facebook and Twitter, it is best to cross promote on them.

As a rule of thumb, it is always a good idea to cross-promote your web 2.0 marketing campaigns. Let us use the example above. Say, you have a Facebook and Twitter account. Every now and then, you can post a link of your Facebook account on your Twitter. You can also publish posts about your Twitter account on Facebook.

Doing this will give various benefits. Some of them are:

  • Increases exposure in both campaigns
  • Increases your chances of getting sales from both campaigns
  • Increases your customer engagement
