Have you already set up your Web 2.0 site profiles? If yes, then, here are the next 2 steps you have to take:

Start finding followers or fans. Ideally, they must be people interested in your line of products or services or, at least, generally interested in your niche.

Using your followers and fans to collect information for adjusting your marketing plan and creating new products. Also aim to market your products to your followers and fans.

This is a rather simple process, and through this, it is important to maintain a coherent message.

For this reason, it might make sense…

… to spend some time planning a general “theme” for your Web 2.0 profiles.

You have to ask yourself some questions to determine the most appropriate theme to use:

Is the purpose of your Web 2.0 profiles to alert people to sales and to tell them about contests you are holding?

Are they made to discuss with your customers the general industry in which your internet business falls and mention your new products casually?

There’s not necessarily a best approach to take here, but it is important that you pick one and stick with it. This way, your customers will not be confused about what your profiles are about, what they are made for, and you will get more targeted followers and fans. Status, posts, and tweets can deliver your message easily. However, the theme you use will definitely remain the best way to deliver a specific message to those who visit your Web 2.0 profiles.

Seeing that you have found these Web 2.0 marketing series and have already started reading this first tip, you are surely ready to enter the world of web 2.0.

Before you go out and spread the word about your business through We 2.0 sites, it’s important for you to spend some time carefully thinking about your Web 2.0 identity. That is to say, before you create a Twitter account, launch a Facebook fan page, and begin to market your business through web 2.0 channels, you need to know what image you want to project.

Beginning Your Web 2.0 Campaign

When it comes to Web 2.0 marketing, the first thing you will want to do is…
…decide whether you should create profiles based on:

Your business

Yourself

Both.

Each of the three options has benefits, but it is ultimately up to you to decide which will work best for your particular situation.

Once you have selected your route, you should create accounts on web 2.0 sites and setup a profile that reflects your choice. For instance, a Twitter account for your business should focus exclusively on business activities and not your personal life.

There’s no way an internet business can ignore web 2.0 marketing any longer. But since there are so many sites, and it’s just a small part of the bigger picture of your business, you might feel confused or overwhelmed.

What you probably need is a simple step by step plan to implement web 2.0 marketing to your business.

Well, you guessed it: here it is!

If you follow through with this simple step by step plan, you’ll achieve a presence in the web 2.0 sphere that very few of your competitors can match.

The rise of web 2.0 has transformed internet business as we once knew it.

In the past, business owners were limited in

how they interacted with customers,

how they collected information about them,

and how they marketed new products and services to them.

Today, these strictures have been removed, permitting business owners to gather information, learn, and respond much faster than ever before.

It has also transformed the internet business landscape in another way:

by creating a rift between those who know how to navigate web 2.0 sites and services; and those who do not.

Those who don’t know how to use web 2.0 services may find themselves on the defensive constantly—doing anything to retain customers—even if they had a successful business model only years ago.

Those who feel comfortable with web 2.0 may now find themselves at a significant advantage.

Whether you’re currently using web 2.0 to promote your internet business or are thinking about doing so, it is important for you to understand how to do it correctly.

No matter whether you’re inexperienced or a veteran social marketer, if you don’t have the right information, it can be easy to botch a marketing campaign or simply run out of ideas.

Fortunately for you, this blog post series was designed for people in your exact position: those who know that web 2.0 is an important part of doing business today; and who want to learn how to use it correctly.

In the rest of this blog post series, I’m going to provide you with 77 easy top tips that you can use

to integrate web 2.0 into your internet business,

to market your products,

to find new customers,

to manage existing customers and extract information from them.

They are stand-alone tips. You can do them step by step from start to finish, or you can just do a few of them.

Here’s an excerpt of his remarks:

… the new technologies which have made the internet a resource of utmost importance, especially for the so-called “digital generation”.

Undoubtedly, wise use of communications technology enables communities to be formed in ways that promote the search for the true, the good and the beautiful, transcending geographical boundaries and ethnic divisions.

To this end, the Vatican has launched a new initiative which will make information and news from the Holy See more readily accessible on the world wide web.

It is my hope that this initiative will enrich a wide range of people including those who have yet to find a response to their spiritual yearning through the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ whose message of Good News the Church bears to the ends of the earth.

The Pope On Youtube? Why Is It Important?

I’m amazed how fast the internet changes the world.

When I was in school. …

The internet wasn’t even there.

There was no iPod, nor an iPhone to watch youtube videos. Even Sony’s Walkman (the rightful predecessor of any ‘carry with you’ device) wasn’t invented.

And of course there was no such thing as a ‘Personal Computer’ to be found in any household.

Then the internet came and people had no idea how fast it would grow into our everyday lives.

Roundabout 5 years ago we internet geeks started to embrace the idea of web 2.0 as we published our first blogs. They were ugly and for geeks only.

Who would have thought 5 years ago a presidential election would be decided by social media sites?

Who would have thought 2 years ago the Pope would deliver his gospel through youtube?

Social media is no longer for geeks only.

The people and the leaders of the world embrace it and we can’t even begin to imagine the consequences this will bring.

Through social media we will see dramatic changes in:

How people educate themselves.

How they create relationships and mastermind groups, evolving much faster than ever possible offline.

How they build their opinion on political, economical and ethical topics.

How leaders will use the internet to influence (manipulate?) the masses.

How campaigns and propaganda sweep the planet across boarders – not only when delivered by leaders, but by any individual who puts his mind to it.

The geek in me is happy. I’m an early adopter and I love to find the new stuff before it hits the mainstream.

There’s tons and tons of opportunities waiting for us internet marketers, and through new technology and new ideas our ‘universe’ is expanding each day.

I’m excited about it.

How about you?
