Yes, totally agreed with you. The way you suggest to target marketers is the best way to work this type of people. You can get maximum output from these people. You have also expressed well to maintain the relationship. Thanks

Hi Raif, the concept of "A network of peers" is remarkable… I’m not really into IT kinda stuff but this is one great piece of writing that develops an urge in me to dive into internet marketing business! Good work!

Hey Ralf,

I think the most important point you make is the forming of a personal relationship, as well as a business relationship.

Several years ago I started following a member of the Warrior Forum, because his business ethics were very similar to mine and the knowledge he was sharing on the WF; was what I was looking for. However, I made a mistake of trying to do business with him, without having formed a positive relationship of any kind with him. He was kind enough though to respond and let me down gently. Giving me a pretty good explanation of why he didn't think I would be a good match for him, at our first contact.

At any rate I listened to what he said. And began to develop a relationship through his business forum, making useful comments, asking questions, starting useful threads etc. But what caught his attention was not only the above contributions, but I wasn't asking him for anything in return. I also purchased several of his products and took action on them, kept him informed of my results, continued to ask and answer questions an his forum.

To keep a long story short our relationship evolved over more than a year. The end result being he became my personal mentor, which in turn led to a very strong business and personal friend relationship.

Almost 3 and a half years later this relationship continues. I believe strongly he and I will remain friends and business associates for the rest of our lives. There is no money value I can put on the personal friendship, but I can tell you he has helped me earn well over 80K the past 2 years. and that doesn't include the JV's with him

Now there is one more thing and then I'll shut up.

My mentor, friend and business associate is not what you call one of the better well known "IM Guru" and frankly he gets highly ticked if you call him one. He is way down on the list. So your comment made above about forming a relationship through a smaller forum, where the owner is very active; is very valid.

You are so right. Building a network is very important for internet businesses esp. which is managed by a single man. But there are challenges even here, you need to make time to go meet people and keep in touch for which one needs to be disciplined and follow everything you mentioned. Very informative post, i've bookmarked it and will come back again for a re-read :) Thanks for sharing.

Hi Ralf,

Great post and oh so true. Not only FINDING the network of people to, well, network in, but actually getting to know them and communicating with them is a great reminder. Thanks for a great article.

Thanks Milton.
If more people like it I will expand the topic.
Networking is the easiest way to expand our business .... and it's fun by the way. :-)
After all working on your PC all day can be a lonely job compared to those jobs where you meet your colleagues and peers in person every day.
